Personal Information

Browsing FindTheBiz.com

You watch our members’ commercial videos and view their business information on FindTheBiz (FTB) by establishing a user account with FTB. Your information given at logon is used solely for statistical purposes to track number of users and frequency of use. You can contact us via email at customerservice@findthebiz.com without having to register as a user.

Your FTB Account.

To become a member of FTB you must establish an account with FTB to perform such activities as entering membership information, uploading videos and any photos (regular or panoramic) and editing your Bio and testimonials. We do ask for some personal information when you create an account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.

Usage Information.

When you use FTB, we may record information about your usage of the site, such as the services accessed, frequency of use, number of times accessed and whether member links or videos have been sent to others, as well as the length of time you log on. If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your FTB Account. To ensure the quality of our service to you, we may place a tag (also called a "web beacon") in HTML-based customer support emails or other communications with you to confirm delivery.

Content Uploaded to Site.

Any personal information or video content that you voluntarily disclose online (e.g., testimonials, videos displayed, your profile page) may be collected and used by others. If you download the FTB Uploader, your copy includes a unique application number. This number and information about your installation of the Uploader (version number, language) will be sent to FTB when the Uploader automatically checks for updates and will be used to update your version of the Uploader.

Uses

Personal information you submit to FTB, may be used to operate, maintain, and improve the features and functionality of FTB, and to process any flagging activity or other communication you send to us.
We may use your email and personal information to send commercial or marketing messages for FTB sales. We will use your email address, if needed, without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (like notifying you of any major FTB changes or for customer service purposes). Updates happen frequently and you may choose how often you receive email updates in your FTB settings page.

We use cookies, web beacons, and log file information to: (a) store information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit FTB; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed; and (e) track your entries, submissions, and status in promotions, sweepstakes, and contests.

Technical and Standard Web Log Data Collected

We automatically record and collect the following categories of information when you visit our Website: (1) IP addresses, (2) domain servers, (3) types of computers accessing our Website; (4) types of web browsers used to access our Website; (5) referring source, or URL, which may have sent you to our Website; and (6) the pages and information you accessed on our Website. This data helps us (1) establish a broad understanding of site traffic patterns, (2) diagnose server problems and perform site administration, and (3) tailor and improve the information we present to you so you can thoroughly benefit and appreciate the service offered by our website.

Interactive and Installed Tools

We collect information you provide voluntarily in free-form text boxes on our website and through responses to surveys, questionnaires, and the like. You may elect to use certain Services available through our website that require you to download and install software on your computer ("Installed Tools"). The Installed Tools may collect and transmit information from your computer system solely relating to use of the Installed Tools and for the purpose of providing you the relevant Services, for example, by informing FTB when a user is logged on and available to receive update or alert notices.

Cookies

When you access our website, we may place small data files called "cookies" on the hard drive of your computer that contain information such as user preferences and lists of pages visited and activities conducted while browsing our website. We do not link the information stored in cookies directly to any of your Personal Information you submit while on the Website. We encode our cookies so that only we can interpret the information stored on them. You are free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, but doing so may require you to re-enter certain information more frequently during a visit to our website.

Web Beacons

In limited circumstances we also may use "Web Beacons" to collect anonymous, non-personal information about your use of our website and the sites of selected sponsors and advertisers, and your use of emails, special promotions, or newsletters we send to you. "Web Beacons" are tiny graphic image files imbedded in a web page or email that provide a presence on the web page or email and send back to its home server information from the user’s browser. The information collected by web beacons allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using the Website and selected sponsors' and advertisers' sites, or opening our emails, and for what purposes.

Storage

We store all Technical and Standard Web Log Data and review postings indefinitely, even after "deletion," and may archive such information elsewhere. We store all Personal Information until you request that we modify or delete it, in which case we may still wind up retaining some of that information for the reasons described below under “Updates and Changes to our Privacy Policy”.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

COPPA severely restricts what information can be collected from children under the age of thirteen. For this reason, children under the age of thirteen in the United States are prohibited from using our website. Our website is not directed at children, and FTB does not knowingly collect any information from individuals under the age of thirteen. If we learn that we have received any information from an individual under the age of thirteen, we will use that information only to respond directly to that child (or a parent or legal guardian) to inform him/her that he/she cannot use the Services and subsequently we will delete that information from our own servers.

Information That is Publicly Available

When you create your FTB Account, the information you want displayed about FTB Account will be provided to FTB users. This includes the video you choose, your Bio, photographs, panoramic views of your facility(s), business address(s), phone number(s), email address and website information.

Any videos that you submit to FTB may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels and may be viewed by other FTB members and users or the public.

Member Choices

FTB members can update or correct their personal profile information any time by visiting your account profile page. Members can control the information displayed to users by editing their FTB Account.

Users can access and change their logon and password information at any time. We at FTB strongly advise that you keep your login information, especially your password, secure and to yourself. If you do allow someone to login to your profile, be sure you can trust that person. You are entirely responsible for your business profile and the information contained within it. When choosing your password make sure to choose a strong password and not one that can be easily figured out. Again, we strongly recommend that you keep your login information private and that you edit your own profile as our site format is very user friendly. FYI: we will be modifying the login process to a 2-step verification process in a brief time.

Closing Your Account

Should you choose to close your account with FTB and you wish to remove any personal information, please contact customercare@findthebiz.com. Upon your request, FTB will make reasonable efforts to delete your account and the Personal Information in your profile; however, it may be impossible to remove your account without some residual information being retained by FTB
